Newly appointed Ipswich Town Manager Roy Keane officially launched the 7th annual Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind Specsavers Shades campaign for 2009. He didn't have his own pooch Triggs with him but the Cork native was vocal in his support of the Charity. The campaign which focuses on raising funds for the training of guide and assistance dogs, centres around a week of fundraising nationwide which kicks off Monday 4th May. It costs approximately 38,000euro to train a guide dog and while IGDB trained more guide dogs in 2008 than ever before in its history, the demand continues to increase.
