Waterville - translated from the Irish means "The Little Whirlpool" - is an idyllic coastal town on the centre on the Ring of Kerry.. Waterville nestles between Balinskelligs Bay & Lough Currane. It is surrounded by mountains & lakeland with the added advantage of the sea on its doorstep.
It is a jumping off point for the UNESCO protected, Skelligs Rock. Golfing, fishing, walking, adventure activities, bird watching and exploring the areas rich lore and archeology are are just a few of the things to see and do in and around Waterville. The town has attracted many celebrities through the years including Charlie Chaplin & family.
Lough Currane is probably one of the greatest game-fishing Loughs in Europe, boasting Salmon, Grilse, Large Sea-trout and Brown trout.
